Georgie Awards offers over 50 award categories with new and exciting additions every few years. The award categories are grouped in six focus areas: Residential Construction – New; Residential Construction – Renovation; Interior Design, Merchandising and Landscaping; Sales and Marketing; Special Achievement Awards; Grand Georgie Awards®. Below is a detailed description of the categories in each focus area.
Residential Construction – New
The primary entrant for these categories must be a residential licensed builder.
- Best Single-Family Detached Home over 2,500 Sq. Ft. under $750,000 – Production
- Best Single-Family Detached Home over 2,500 Sq. Ft. over $750,000 – Production
- Best New Small-Scale Home up to 1000 sq. ft.
- Best Single-Family Home Production Development
- Custom Home Valued Under $1,000,000
- Custom Home Valued between $1,000,001 – $1,500,000
- Custom Home Valued between $1,500,001 – 2,000,000
- Custom Home valued between $2,000,001 – $3,000,000
- Custom Home valued over $3,000,000
- Best Multi-Family Townhouse Development – Production
- Best Multi-Family Townhouse Development – Infill
- Best Multi-Family Low Rise Development Up to 6 Stories
- Best Multi-Family Mid/High Rise Development
- Best Multi-Family Kitchen
- Best Single-Family Kitchen up to $200,000
- Best Single-Family Kitchen over $200,000
Residential Construction – Renovation
The primary entrant for these categories must be a residential licensed builder.
- Best Single Family Residential Renovation under $250,000
- Best Single Family Residential Renovation between $250,001– $450,000
- Best Single Family Residential Renovation between $450,001 – $750,000
- Best Single Family Residential Renovation between $750,001 – $1,500,000
- Best Single Family Residential Renovation $1,500,000 and Over
- Best Kitchen Renovation under $150,000
- Best Kitchen Renovation over $150,000
- Best Condo Renovation under $250,000
- Best Condo Renovation between $250,001– $450,000
- Best Condo Renovation between $450,001– $750,000
- Best Condo Renovation between $750,001– $1,500,000
- Best Condo Renovation over $1,500,000
Interior Design, Merchandising, and Landscaping – New or Renovation
The builder may be primary or an associate.
- Best Master Suite up to $125,000 – New or Renovation
- Best Master Suite over $125,000 – New or Renovation
- Best Any Room – New or Renovation
- Best Interior Design Display Suite – Single-Family or Multi-Family Production
- Best Interior Design Custom Residence – New or Renovation
- Best Innovative Feature – New or Renovation
- Best Landscape – New or Renovation
- Best Outdoor Living Space – New or Renovation
Sales and Marketing
The builder may be primary or an associate.
- Best Project Identity
- Best Advertising Campaign
- Best Sales Centre
- Best Corporate/Project Website
Special Achievement Awards
The primary entrant for these categories must be a residential licensed builder.
- Best Environmental Initiative
- Best Energy Labelled Home – Production
- Best Energy Labelled Home – Custom
- Best Energy Labelled Whole House Renovation
- Best Public-Private Partnership (Builder as Primary is not a requirement for this category.)
- Provincial Award for Excellence in Housing Affordability
Grand Georgie Awards®
The primary entrant for these categories must be a residential licensed builder.
